A twelfth mega vessel for OOCL
Orient Overseas Container Line (Oocl) celebrated the naming of its twelfth and final vessel in the 24,188 teu series, "OOCL Portugal," at a ceremony held at the Nantong Cosco KHI Ship Engineering Co. (Nacks) shipyard.
This marks the completion of OOCL's eco-friendly mega vessel series, aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and economies of scale.
The event was attended by key guests, including Ms. Laura Liang Aron, director of the Hong Kong economic and trade office in Shanghai and Mr. Ni Zhao, regional head (Shanghai) of Hong Kong Shipping Registry. OOCL highlighted its commitment to providing first-class, environmentally sustainable shipping services. (pb)
