A tale of two bridges
Laso recently transported two 50 m long bridges from Portugal to the Netherlands. Originating in Oliveira de Frades, the bridges were moved to the port of Aveiro before being shipped to Rotterdam.
The structures had been manufactured by Martifer - Construções Metalomecânicas before being handed over to Laso for the journey in early August.
To avoid road congestion, the land transport was carried out at night, making time management an important aspect of the project. Due to the size of the bridges, the company had to use a tower adapter, a device that allows for hydraulic adjustment to the width of the cargo.
With the items now having reached their destination, Laso looks to continue its projects in large-scale logistics. (mk)
