A takeover in furniture logistics
Looking to expand its furniture logistics portfolio, Reber Logistik has acquired the Saarbrücken (Germany)-based freight forwarder Spedition Werner Roth and thus gained access to a range of transport equipment and infrastructure in the region.
With this deal, Reber Logistik can now add 90 swap bodies and 12,000 sqm of warehousing and office space in Hildburghausen to its network of 100,000 sqm storage space and 700 swap bodies. The logistics provider is based in Germersheim, Rhineland Palatinate, and is currently focused on the German furniture market.
All customers and the twelve employees of Spedition Werner Roth, which filed for insolvency in February, will be transferred to Reber Logistik. “We are very happy to be able to offer all customers and employees secure prospects for the future,” says Mirko Kauffeldt, managing director of Reber Logistik.
