A takeover at controlled temperatures
The logistics company Frigo Est, from eastern France and a specialist for temperature-controlled cargo, has taken over DGD Lorraine, a company focused on the last-mile delivery of furniture products.
Frigo Est, which has a staff of around 130 people based in Marly, took advantage of an opportunity presented by the retirement of two DGD Lorraine shareholders, Bruno Ganaye and Michel Antoine. The SME DGD Lorraine is also based near Metz, in Flevy. It has 70 employees and 25 vehicles and specialises in the B2C delivery of furniture products in the Alsace region and in Luxembourg.
The price of the transaction was given at EUR 1.8 million in cash. The agreement also covers a 5,000 sqm platform, which brings the total investment of EUR 5 million. Frigo Est has plans to continue the ‘greening’ of the DGD Lorraine fleet to the level of 20% of its vehicles. (sh)
