A sustainable centre in Suffolk
Hemisphere Freight Services is pressing on with the construction of its newest warehouse in Suffolk, with cladding already up, flooring poured and racking in full flow. The hub is being built at Suffolk Port One Logistics Park, a carbon-neutral project in East Anglia.
Curzon de Vere, the company’s build partner, has been developing the 22,621 sqm facility designed for fulfillment and storage services. With 35,536 racked pallet locations and an additional 8,000 bulk-loaded pallets, Hemisphere Freight Services will be able to provide kitting, barcoding, and quality control at the site.
The Suffolk project places emphasis on sustainability, as over 323,749 sqm of roofing PV solar panels are set to be installed in the park. EV charging stations will also be in place. With these measures, the hub’s team aims to secure BRCGS, Organic and Tapa FSR certifications. (mk)
