A step towards emission-free distribution
In the Netherlands, Top Delivery Services (TDS) has placed an order for ten pure-electric trucks from Chinese manufacturer BYD. The vehicles will be used specifically for eco-friendly zero-emission delivery services for Ikea in Amsterdam.
The BYD ETM6 e-trucks are equipped with a multitude of innovative features to achieve environmental goals, while also being safe, quiet and practical for operating in high density city centres, BYD said.
Powered by iron-phosphate battery technology, the zero-emission electric truck offers the longest driving range, 200 km with a full load, in the market within its 7.5 t category, as well as extended battery life and high levels of safety. (ben)
