A spotlight on logistics
Last week saw over 2,650 visitors gather in Germany and other European venues for the “Tag der Logistik” ("Supply Chain Day"). The events took place for the 17th time, with 129 different locations in Germany, Lithuania, Switzerland, and other countries.
Visitors had the opportunity to look behind the scenes of Lufthansa Cargo at Frankfurt Airport, as well as join tours around the logistics hubs of Amazon, Dachser, Zalando, and Gebrüder Weiss (see ITJ Daily article of 23 April 2024).
Logistics is Germany’s third largest economic sector, making this opportunity interesting for industry players. The next event is scheduled for 10 April 2025. “The “Tag der Logistik” gives this economic sector and the people behind it the attention and appreciation they deserve. As in previous years, we were happy to open our doors again this year to provide exciting insights,” says Martin Andersen, Germany country director AMZL MEU, Amazon. (mk)
