A silver lining for reliability at sea?
According to Sea-Intelligence, a maritime intelligence provider from Copenhagen (Denmark), the increase in global schedule reliability in March 2021 didn’t last. Reliability levelled out, with carriers recording a 1 percentage point decrease month-on-month in April, coming to 39.2%.
April thus continued the unfortunate trend of previous months and showed the lowest schedule reliability for any April on record in the ten years that Sea-Intelligence has measured schedule reliability. The gap to 2020 is a massive –30.6 percentage points. (cd)
