A robotics solution in South Korea
Toll Group has been deploying 60 sorting robots at its logistics hub in Baeksa, near Seoul, as part of its collaboration with Geekplus, a developer of robot and smart logistics solutions. This is its first project with Toll Group.
Aiming to increase productivity by 70%, the developer’s automation solution includes more than 60 robots for sorting operations. By cutting costs related to time and labour during these processes, Geekplus enables the logistics provider to improve its delivery times and distribution processes.
Dongseop Yoon, senior business development executive at Toll: "As our business grows, Geekplus' sorting system has enabled us to manage increasing volumes quickly and efficiently."
The two companies are looking forward to more collaborations in the future. Next up could potentially be order fulfilment robots which would further enhance Toll Group’s operations in Asia. (mk)
