A roadmap for the Seine axis
The French Haropa port, which combines the maritime and logistics assets of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, has defined its business strategy for the period until 2025.
The roadmap, aiming to develop the Haropa port into a high-performance maritime and river port system and generate global maritime traffic of 92 million t and river traffic of 35 million t, is based on four pillars: industrial and commercial development, ecological transition, digital transition and multimodality.
This development strategy is part of a EUR 1.3 billion investment programme, across the Seine axis, which was announced by the French prime minister in Le Havre in January 2021.
Another objective of the new roadmap is to operate a modal shift on bulk modes of 20% for containers and 40% for bulk. Besides decarbonisation, there are also plans for a reindustrialization of the Seine axis in France. (sh)
