A rapid growth in Mexico
Samsara has opened a new office in Mexico City following quick growth since it entered the country's market in 2019. Meanwhile five of Mexico’s top ten trucking companies are Samsara customers, the IoT specialist said.
To meet this increasing demand, Samsara expects to double the number of employees in Mexico this year, investing in business technology, operations, sales, and support roles.
Last year, the company also released new electronic features for Mexico, including an immobiliser, which stops vehicles automatically when tampering is detected as well as an AG52 Asset Gateway which can be connected to cargo and door sensors to provide real-time alerts on door activities and the presence of cargo to prevent thefts.
