A Nordic hub for Dachser
Dachser’s largest Nordic facility is now ready for Dachser Sweden. The 10,000 sqm warehouse in Jönköping features a 6,200 sqm cross-dock terminal, office spaces and 70 gates.
Since 2017, the logistics provider’s Swedish branch has been housed in rented premises on the outskirts of Jönköping. The new facility centrally connects the company to Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, reducing transport emissions. With the photovoltaic system on the roof of the warehouse and the deployment of electric trucks, Dachser aims to ensure sustainability on its new site.
"We have outgrown our old premises. Now we are doubling the pallet spaces and connecting our warehouse to the cross-dock terminal to further optimise our processes," says Fredrik Rånge, contract logistics manager, Jönköping branch. (mk)
