A new rail service between France and Germany
Modalis Group, a provider of multimodal logistics solutions for carriers, logistics companies and manufacturers, has launched, through its subsidiary Delta Rail, a new rail service from its Burgundy hub (Chalon-sur-Saone and Mâcon) in France to the terminals Worms Rhenania and Duisburg (Samskip) in Germany.
The shuttle train runs four roundtrips per week. This intermodal freight service, open to all types of containers and swap bodies as well as P400 semi-trailers, connects France’s major seaports Le Havre and Fos-sur-Mer to Germany.
As part of its network, the Duisburg terminal offers numerous connections to the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, and Lithuania.
Delta Rail has been operating two regular intermodal services between the Chalon-sur-Saône terminal and the ports of Fos-sur-Mer and Le Havre since 2019. (ben)
