A new CEO for VTG
Alberto Nobis will join VTG as chief executive officer on 1 October 2023. In his new role, he will oversee the management and development of more than 50 locations in 20 European countries with services along the entire rail-bound logistics chain - from wagon hire and rail logistics to traction with VTG's own rail transport company Retrack as well as wagon maintenance and new construction.
Nobis brings decades of management experience in the logistics industry. He comes from DHL Group, where he oversaw the DHL Express division in increasingly complex roles - first in finance to the global CFO position (2009-2012).
In his most recent position, from early 2019 to summer 2023, Nobis was CEO at DHL Express Europe, responsible for a portfolio of over 50 countries and 45,000 employees. (cj)
