A new big player in pharma logistics

The French Walden Group has acquired Ivemar, a Belgian GDP-transport specialist as part of its expansion plans in the European pharmaceutical logistics market. Ivemar will be integrated into Transpharma International (TPI), Walden’s competence centre for pharmaceutical transport.

“The acquisition of Ivemar provides TPI with quality transport assets, a strong team of around 50 people well practised in GDP, and licensed premises located in a key European trade corridor for healthcare transport and logistics," says David Evans, CEO of TPI.

Ivemar’s assets will grow TPI’s GDP fleet to 250 vehicles offering temperature-controlled transport. Ivemar’s warehouses and storage hubs are located close to Brussels and its airport. With this, TPI will expand temperature-controlled storage solutions for goods in transit, as well as for the management of global supply flows. (mk)
