A Munich ambassador in Singapore
Munich Airport International (Mai), the international business subsidiary of Munich airport, is strengthening its commitment to the Asian market by opening of a regional office in Singapore. The region has always been a key market for MAI, which managed its first international project in Malaysia in the mid-90s. This was followed by projects in India, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and Nepal.
The new office is headed by Simon Lotter, who joined Munich airport as a consultant in 2011, after several years in Hong Kong and Singapore. From 2014 on Australian-born Lotter was in charge of the Asia-Pacific market as the firm’s regional sales director, based in Munich.
The move will enable Munich airport to forge closer contact with customers, promote a greater understanding of regional requirements and provide a more demand-driven response to the market. (ah)
