A multimodal hub in Singapore
Geodis is focusing on the Southeast Asian market with the opening of a new container freight station (CFS) in Singapore. The site will provide sea, air, and road transport in the region.
The company has selected the Keppel Distripark free trade zone as its ideal location for the Singaporean hub, as it is an important junction within the Geodis road network, giving it access to major air and sea ports in Southeast Asia and China.
Geodis has its own experts in place to manage the CFS, enabling better control and visibility over customers’ cargo. Customers will be provided with a range of services from consolidation to storage and transshipment, with options for both full- and less-than-container loads. The CFS complements Geodis’ existing network of nearly 170 countries and 53,000 employees. (mk)
