A move into multimodality
Zipline Logistics, which specialises in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) sector, has acquired Summit Eleven, thus expanding its portfolio in multimodal transport management and strengthening its customer-centric approach to third-party logistics.
Summit Eleven is based in Austin, Texas, and has seen rapid growth from its transport service and temperature-controlled operations. Austin is also a central point for consumer-packaged goods. The collaboration will broaden Zipline’s network within the sector and increase its resources and opportunities. The takeover was backed by the Chicago-based private equity sponsor, Frontenac.
“Together, we’re positioned to offer exceptional retail logistics solutions to fast-growing CPG brands, helping fuel their success and ours,” says Walter Lynch, Zipline Logistics CEO. (mk)
