A large-scale global marriage
Scan Global Logistics (SGL) and Trans Group are closing ranks and combining their operations under one brand, Scan Global Logistics.
The decision concerning the merger of the American Trans Group and the SGL Group, which were sold jointly to the US private equity firm AEA investors, was taken in 2020.
Altogether, SGL now spans six continents with more than 120 locations worldwide. The global executive leadership team will consist of Global CEO Allan Melgaard and Global CFO Claes Brønsgaard Pedersen.
The North American leadership team is represented by Julien Ranzato, COO International Services, and Bill Goodgion, COO Domestic Services.
David Wystrach has joined Scan Global Logistics as global head of airfreight. The former long-standing regional head of air freight product & procurement of Panalpina, who was with Flexport over the last two years, is now taking over from Rickard Ingvarsson at SGL. Ingvarsson retains his role as Asia chief executive at Scan Global Logistics. (cd)
