A high-value acquisition
AIT Worldwide Logistics has acquired Krupp Trucking, a US forwarder for high-value goods based in St Louis. The move, which took effect on 1 January, will boost AIT’s high-value technology logistics portfolio.
Krupp manages shipments in the entire USA as well as globally in the air, ocean and road modes, so AIT can benefit from its network and 26 years of industry expertise. The takeover includes a 115,000 sqft office in Earth City MO (USA), as well as 60 trucks and a team of nearly 100 employees.
The company’s founder, Scott Krupp, remains with the business as its city director. “Joining AIT allows us to maintain our ambitious spirit, while gaining access to an enhanced organisational structure, streamlined processes and broader opportunities for our teammates,” Scott Krupp said. (mk)
