A. Hartrodt opens office in Austria
The international freight forwarder A. Hartrodt, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany has founded its own company in Austria. Country manager Christine Mair will develop export business from Vienna Airport and thus help to expand the company’s European network.
Mair has been working at the airport in Vienna for two decades, where she "learned the air freight business from the bottom up", holding executive positions at both General Sales Agents (GSAs) and freight forwarders.
In setting up A. Hartrodt Austria, Mair will initially focus on air cargo, with other freight forwarding divisions to be "successively added" later. Mair wants to build up a team of five in the first year of operation.
The plan is to hire a sales expert and two to three people for operations. In the medium term, Mair aims to offer customers "competitive solutions" for air and sea freight, land transport, project, and warehouse logistics. She will be supported by the company’s international network. (ben)
