A good year for Wincanton
Wincanton, headquartered in British Chippenham, has published updated information on its recent business results. After a difficult H1/2020, the group returned to growth in Q3 of the financial year.
Wincanton’s revenue rose by over 10% in Q3 compared to the prior year, with growth in all of the group’s four core business segments. Total revenues amounted to GBP 1.2 billion, about 1% more than in 2019 (GBP 1.14 billion).
Operating profit was at GBP 52 million. The group witnessed the largest increase in the digital and e-fulfilment sector where revenue was up 40%.
At this stage, Wincanton does not expect the current lockdown to have a significant impact on the group’s trading performance. (sh)
