A further link between Sardinia and Italy
A new connection between Sardinia and mainland Italy: The Naples-based Grimaldi Group is launching the Civitavecchia-Arbatax-Cagliari link for the transport of freight and passengers on 23 September. The schedule includes three turns a week, providing two intermediate calls in the port of Arbatax in both directions.
Since June this year, the group has included the twice-weekly line connecting Cagliari with Naples and Palermo (both ways) in this network, having won the ministerial tender to this effect.
Now, the south of Sardinia will be served with domestic maritime connections seven days a week, operated by the company's ro/pax ferry "Catania". This Italian-flagged vessel can carry over 2,200 linear meters of rolling freight (cars, vans, trucks, semi-trailers, etc.). (cd)
