A first for Santiago
Maersk has partnered with Puma to operate a semi-automated omnichannel fulfilment and distribution centre in Santiago de Chile, whereby the logistics provider will ensure end-to-end visibility from the brand’s factories in Asia Pacific to its hubs in Chile.
Located close to Santiago’s economic centres, main highways, and retailers, the site will be the first hub of this kind in the city. The solution includes Maersk’s integrated warehouse management system, offering real-time reports for complete control over order processing, reporting, and stocking.
Maersk and Puma look back on a 20-year relationship. “Having Maersk as a strategic partner allows us to control our entire supply chain process, from factories to our stores,” says Anibal Castro, managing director Chile & Peru at Puma. (mk)
