A first for Renault in Chile
French truck manufacturer Renault Trucks has delivered its first battery-powered electric trucks outside the European continent and handed over three E-Tech D Wide trucks to the Chilean transport company Trailer Logistics. They are now in service on the streets of Santiago on behalf of CCU, a beverages distributor.
The 26 t, 264 kWh e-trucks cover 100 km a day and drive to various delivery destinations in Chile's capital and the surrounding area. They will enable Trailer Logistics and CCU to save 628 t of CO2 emissions per year on their beverage rounds. (ben)
