A EUR 23.5 million loan for Arkas
The Turkish company Arkas Logistics has secured an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for a loan of up to EUR 23.5 million to purchase heavy equipment, wagons, and supplementary machinery.
Operating under the sea freight specialist Arkas Holding, Arkas Logistics continues its growth and investments with its strong organisational structure and its motto, "the power behind logistics".
Arkas will use the funds to invest in heavy equipment that supports supply chains for transporting and assembling wind turbine components. Additionally, it plans to buy wagons and equipment for shipping goods by rail, promoting a shift from road to railfreight. The loan signing was celebrated at a dinner in Izmir, attended by executives from both the EBRD and Arkas. (ah)
