A cold chain centre for Kigali
In response to growing demands in the Rwandan market, AGL Rwanda is building a new 5,000 sqm warehouse in the Kigali Special Economic Zone. Development on the site began in March.
Valued at USD 10 million, the facility will be designed as a central cold chain and perishable goods hub with capacities for temperature-controlled storage to help manage the distribution of essential medical products in the country.
The company has been operating in Rwanda since 1965 and has a local team of 236 people. Due to its experience in the market, it has been able to build a network of 21,000 sqm of warehousing space in the country’s prime economic zone. The new warehouse will complement the capabilities of the company’s six other hubs in Rwanda. (mk)
