A coalition of technologies
Helsinki-based maritime technology developer Seaber has inked a partnership with Neste, a major producer of renewable and sustainable fuels.
Neste will be using the Finnish company’s software for planning maritime logistics activities such as shipping schedules and port calls. Seaber’s SaaS application is designed for both shipowners and cargo owners, reduces costs per tonne mile, bringing down shipping’s environmental impact and supporting multi-parcel and multi-port voyages, where unnecessary ballast voyages and low utilisation rates are common.
Neste plans to reduce its customer's greenhouse gas emissions with its renewable and circular solutions by at least 20 million t annually by 2030. The company generated revenues of EUR 15.1 billion in 2021. (sh)
