7,000 journeys with HVO save 1,000 t of CO2

The Schuon Group has taken over all transport services for the insulation and noise protection specialist Saint-Gobain Isover from Ludwigshafen am Rhein (Germany) using HVO100 fuel.

Schuon will move around 7,200 full loads for the company every year. Using hydrogenated vegetable oil, the logistics service provider is expected to save around 1,000 of CO2 over the next twelve months. This corresponds to a reduction of around 90% compared to conventional diesel.

Schuon can use HVO100 directly without any additional investment or modification of the vehicle. HVO can even be blended with fossil diesel. Schuon obtains the fuel from Wahr Energie in the neighbouring city of Nagold (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany). (ben)
