50 vessels, one alliance


Jumbo Shipping, SAL Heavy Lift, and Intermarine have formed a new commercial joint venture called JSI Alliance, combining their fleets and commercial activities for breakbulk and project cargo. Set to launch on 1 March 2024, the alliance brings together the companies’ expertise and fleets to create a strong presence in heavy lift shipping.

 

With a combined fleet of around 50 vessels, including advanced heavy lift ships with a lifting capacity of up to 3,000 t SWL, JSI Alliance offers a comprehensive range of maritime transport solutions. It aims to provide a unified commercial entry point for customers, offering services from semi-liner to customised project shipping solutions worldwide.

 

The collaboration is a significant step forward in the heavy lift shipping sector, combining the strengths and experience of three renowned carriers to meet the evolving needs of the industry. (pb)
