50 preighter flights for Egetrans
A year ago, Lufthansa Cargo started offering its customers transport options in so-called preighters - passenger aircraft used for transporting cargo only.
Since March 2020, the cargo airline has operated about 1,500 such services globally. Recently, the 50th preighter flight from Frankfurt to Chicago was operated for Egetrans Internationale Spedition based near Stuttgart with offices in Chicago and Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico.
Since December, spare and production parts, especially for the agricultural and utility vehicle industry, have been transported on board A340 and A350.
Achim Martinka, the carrier's VP Germany: "The wide-ranging expertise within the Lufthansa Group enables us to find quick solutions for our customers and to react to the constantly changing requirements." (ah)
