
30th anniversary marked in Shanghai and Mumbai
Singapore-based AAL Shipping celebrated its 30th anniversary with major events at WBX Shanghai (photo) and the 'Mega Cargo Show' in Mumbai this March. In Shanghai, AAL welcomed over 1,500 visitors to its stand and hosted a client dinner, highlighting its 27-year presence in China and strong ties to the market.
General manager Jack Zhou emphasised China’s role in AAL’s operations, citing its relevance in infrastructure, renewables, and manufacturing. AAL joined panel talks on transport safety and resilient logistics, underlining its sector expertise.
In Mumbai, global head of chartering Marc Willim pointed to India’s rapid industrial growth and infrastructure plans as key drivers of breakbulk demand. The celebrations ended with a partner reception and a reaffirmation of AAL’s commitment to key growth markets and long-term customer relationships. (ah)
