20 minutes to refuel a hydrogen truck
The very first refuelling of a hydrogen in Italy: a fuel cell truck produced by South Korean manufacturer Hyundai has been refuelled in Bolzano, the site of the country’s only hydrogen filling station currently in operation. Gruber Logistics was one of the companies present at the event.
he truck is in Italy to carry out a series of tests along the Brenner corridor. The vehicle is still in the prototype stage. Fifty vehicles are involved in a trial in Switzerland, and the possibility of further trials in Italy, Germany and Austria is currently being discussed.
Refuelling lasted about 20 minutes and gave the vehicle an autonomy of 400 km. The range can be reduced depending on the weight of the cargo. (ben)
