18 t truck manages 400 km per full tank
Logistics services provider Noerpel is currently testing a hydrogen-powered truck in Germany. Two of its drivers are currently on the road with an H2 vehicle from Hylane, travelling an average of 140 km per day with around 19 stops to distribute and collect cargo.
The first interim assessment after two weeks of practical testing showed positive results in terms of performance and driving characteristics.
The 18 t truck covers around 400 km on one tank of fuel. With an average payload of 6.3 t, the range was around 320 km, with the truck managing a gradient of 5.4% over a distance of 1.4 km every day, Noerpel said. (ben)
