1,400 teu ship joins Dolphin Express line
Tailwind Shipping Lines, a subsidiary of Lidl, christened its new 1,400 teu container ship, “Panda 004,” at the port of Moerdijk in the Netherlands. Attended by around 50 guests, the event marked the company's first ceremonial ship christening.
The “Panda 004” will join the Dolphin Express service, connecting Barcelona and Moerdijk weekly, and it complements the structurally identical “Panda 003,” promoting fleet homogeneity.
Tailwind Shipping Lines, which was founded just over two years ago, now operates nine vessels with a total capacity of approximately 40,000 teu. (pb)
