100th anniversary for Camion Transport
Camion Transport is celebrating its 100th anniversary today, 9 April 2025.
The family-owned company, founded as Lagerhaus AG Wil in 1925, has developed into a leading provider of transport and logistics solutions in Switzerland. It focused on innovation right from the start – by introducing rail transport options from the 1980s onwards, for example.
Today, transport organisation is based on a dual road/rail system, with around two-thirds of shipments handled by rail. Sustainability is a central component of the corporate strategy. Its programme entitled ‘Eco Balance by Camion Transport’ consistently pursues ecological goals, including net-zero emissions by 2050.
With 1500 employees, 610 vehicles and 7,500 daily shipments, Camion Transport will continue to innovate and act responsibly for the future. A generational change to Michèle Jäger and Samuel Eder Is scheduled for its anniversary year. (ah)
