1,000 employees for Europa Worldwide Group
British logistics services provider Europa Worldwide Group has reached the number of 1,000 employees. Caolan Watts-Adams (photo) is Europa's official 1,000th employee and has been hired as a customs declarant the company's Dartford 1Hub.
Dan Cook, operations manager for Europa Worldwide Group: “The team he has joined is the newly created customs department – developed solely for the purpose of managing newly required Brexit regulations.”
As a part of the firms' Brexit preparation, the group developed a new team with 16 people to manage the import customs clearance process for consignments arriving from the EU. Europa Road recently launched its Europa «Flow» customs product, which safeguards transit times and the flow of goods between UK and Europe, Brexit's transition period ends on 31 December 2020.
The group contains six divisions: Europa road, Europa air & sea, Europa showfreight, Europa warehouse, Europa contact centre and continental cargo carriers. (amh)
