100 new truck parking spaces
Today (1 July 2022), Asfinag is opening two new rest areas on the S 3 Weinviertler Schnellstrasse near Wullersdorf and Schöngrabern in Austria. They will offer a total of more than 140 vehicle parking spaces, including 104 for trucks alone.
The two rest areas include safety facilities such as an emergency call and a direct voice connection to the Asfinag traffic management centre. They also feature drinking water fountains, an infrastructure line with toilets and showers, lighting, free WLAN and drinks vending machines.
Both S 3 rest areas are supplied with green electricity via a photovoltaic system. They make it easier for truck drivers to comply with their legally required rest periods, the operator said. (ben)
