C&#8217;est ce qu&#8217;a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Chris Daniels, directeur commercial de Global K9 (GK9), lors de la Multimodal \u00e0 Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels a soulign\u00e9 que la r\u00e9glementation actuelle n&#8217;autorise pas l&#8217;inspection des moteurs d&#8217;avion au Royaume-Uni par des \u00e9quipes canines certifi\u00e9es. Par cons\u00e9quent, ces envois doivent souvent \u00eatre transport\u00e9s par la route vers des a\u00e9roports belges (Li\u00e8ge et Bruxelles), o\u00f9 les contr\u00f4les canins sont autoris\u00e9s conform\u00e9ment aux r\u00e9glementations europ\u00e9ennes. Apr\u00e8s l&#8217;inspection en Europe, les cargaisons peuvent ensuite \u00eatre renvoy\u00e9es au Royaume-Uni en tant qu&#8217;envois contr\u00f4l\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Le fret a\u00e9rien au Royaume-Uni prend actuellement un d\u00e9tour co\u00fbteux et nuisible pour l&#8217;environnement \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Daniels. Il a soulign\u00e9 que d&#8217;autres pays ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tabli des contr\u00f4les canins pour les moteurs d&#8217;avion, soutenus par des prestataires exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. Cependant, le cadre r\u00e9glementaire au Royaume-Uni n&#8217;a pas encore suivi les possibilit\u00e9s op\u00e9rationnelles.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous avons besoin d&#8217;une politique qui refl\u00e8te ce qui est possible et avantageux pour l&#8217;industrie, tout en pla\u00e7ant la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en priorit\u00e9 absolue \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 Daniels.<\/p>\n<p>Global K9 a lanc\u00e9 ses activit\u00e9s europ\u00e9ennes en d\u00e9cembre 2024 et est d\u00e9sormais actif aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique et au Royaume-Uni. Au Royaume-Uni, les chiens d\u00e9tecteurs d&#8217;explosifs dits Free Running Explosive Detection Dogs (FREDDs) sont stationn\u00e9s dans les a\u00e9roports de Londres (Heathrow et Gatwick) et \u00e0 Aberdeen.<\/p>\n<p>Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, l&#8217;entreprise collabore \u00e9troitement avec la Transportation Security Administration (TSA) pour soutenir le d\u00e9veloppement de r\u00e9glementations sur le contr\u00f4le canin dans le secteur du fret. GK9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re organisation \u00e0 exploiter une Certified Cargo Screening Facility \u2013 K9 (CCSF-K9) approuv\u00e9e par la TSA.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels a soulign\u00e9 qu&#8217;une collaboration plus \u00e9troite entre l&#8217;industrie et les autorit\u00e9s r\u00e9glementaires pourrait contribuer \u00e0 moderniser les r\u00e9glementations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 britanniques sans compromettre les normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Il a not\u00e9 que l&#8217;autorisation de contr\u00f4les canins certifi\u00e9s pour les moteurs d&#8217;avion au Royaume-Uni r\u00e9duirait les transports transfrontaliers inutiles, diminuerait les co\u00fbts d&#8217;exploitation pour les exportateurs et am\u00e9liorerait la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 du secteur du fret a\u00e9rien britannique en permettant davantage de contr\u00f4les sur place.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La logistique est l&#8217;un des plus grands contributeurs aux \u00e9missions de transport \u00bb, a
