L&#8217;installation est strat\u00e9giquement situ\u00e9e le long du canal Escaut-Rhin, entre les ports d&#8217;Anvers-Bruges et de Rotterdam, et doit servir de centre de consolidation dans le corridor mer du Nord-Rhin-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, l&#8217;une des voies de transport les plus importantes d&#8217;Europe. Avec un investissement de 75 millions d&#8217;euros, une capacit\u00e9 annuelle de 325 000 EVP sera atteinte, soulignant l&#8217;engagement de H.Essers envers le transport fluvial dans le transport de conteneurs en Europe. Le nouveau terminal remplace \u00e9galement le terminal int\u00e9rieur existant \u00e0 Bergen op Zoom.<\/p>\n<h3>Infrastructure moderne pour le transport europ\u00e9en<\/h3>\n<p>Il dispose de 350 m de quai, d&#8217;un terrain de 6,5 ha et d&#8217;une capacit\u00e9 de stockage de 25 000 conteneurs, y compris des installations pour les marchandises r\u00e9frig\u00e9r\u00e9es et les mati\u00e8res dangereuses (ADR). De plus, la surface de stockage a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tendue de 45 000 m\u00b2 suppl\u00e9mentaires, portant la surface totale de stockage de H.Essers \u00e0 210 000 m\u00b2 \u00e0 Bergen op Zoom. Deux liaisons fluviales partent quotidiennement du terminal \u00e0 conteneurs H.Essers vers Rotterdam et Anvers. Le site emploie 150 personnes, qui soutiennent indirectement 300 autres emplois.<\/p>\n<p>Un avantage d\u00e9cisif du site est l&#8217;emplacement du nouveau terminal. L&#8217;ancien terminal \u00e9tait situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur des digues, derri\u00e8re l&#8217;\u00e9cluse Burgemeester Peterssluis et un canal \u00e9troit, ce qui signifiait que seuls de plus petits bateaux fluviaux pouvaient acc\u00e9der au quai. Le nouveau terminal \u00e0 conteneurs H.Essers est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur des digues, directement sur le canal Escaut-Rhin, et est donc accessible 24 heures sur 24 pour des navires plus grands.<\/p>\n<p>Ce choix d&#8217;emplacement a des r\u00e9percussions directes sur le transport de conteneurs en Europe. Dans les ports d&#8217;Anvers-Bruges et de Rotterdam, des tailles minimales d&#8217;appel s&#8217;appliquent aux bateaux fluviaux qui accostent \u00e0 leurs terminaux. Les navires doivent accoster avec un certain nombre minimum de conteneurs pour faire fonctionner efficacement les installations portuaires. Cette exigence est particuli\u00e8rement pertinente, car les deux ports maritimes sont de plus en plus confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des surcharges et chaque emplacement doit \u00eatre soigneusement planifi\u00e9. Le terminal \u00e0 conteneurs H.Essers permet une solution sans couture : des flux de navigation int\u00e9rieure plus petits sont consolid\u00e9s sur place sur des navires plus grands qui r\u00e9pondent aux tailles d&#8217;appel requises. Cela permet de maintenir le transport des conteneurs enti\u00e8rement sur l&#8217;eau.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Le terminal \u00e0 conteneurs H.Essers est plus qu&#8217;un simple projet d&#8217;infrastructure \u00bb, explique Gert Bervoets, PDG de H.Essers. \u00ab Cet emplacement entre Anvers et Rotterdam, directement sur le corridor mer du Nord-Rhin-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, offre un mod\u00e8le logistique qui d\u00e9pend moins du trafic routier et est enti\u00e8rement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans les principaux corridors europ\u00e9ens. Pour nos clients, cela signifie des connexions plus rapides et plus pr\u00e9visibles entre Anvers et Rotterdam. Pour la r\u00e9gion et l&#8217;Europe, cela signifie moins de pression sur les routes et une empreinte carbone r\u00e9duite par conteneur. \u00bb<\/p>\n<h3>Conception \u00e9cologique et impacts r\u00e9gionaux<\/h3>\n<p>Le terminal \u00e0 conteneurs H.Essers a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u avec une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 sa durabilit\u00e9 environnementale. L&#8217;exploitation utilise des portiques sans \u00e9missions et 19 000 panneaux solaires. Les navires \u00e0 quai peuvent \u00e9teindre leurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs diesel gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&#8217;alimentation \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 terre. \u00c0 long terme, l&#8217;installation sera \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9e comme point de chargement pour la navigation int\u00e9rieure \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9e de demain. La situation en dehors des digues entra\u00eene une r\u00e9duction significative des \u00e9missions d&#8217;azote.<\/p>\n<p>Le nouveau terminal compl\u00e8te les services existants de H.Essers dans la r\u00e9gion, y compris le d\u00e9douanement, le stockage de mati\u00e8res dangereuses et des activit\u00e9s \u00e0 valeur ajout\u00e9e telles que le remplissage. Ainsi, le site joue un r\u00f4le central dans la strat\u00e9gie de croissance de H.Essers aux Pays-Bas, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e par l&#8217;acquisition des activit\u00e9s
