Cet achat fait partie d&#8217;un programme visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le traitement des navires et l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 du terminal, comme l&#8217;indique l&#8217;organisation m\u00e8re ICTSI. Avec les nouvelles grues, con\u00e7ues pour manipuler des navires plus grands allant jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 400 m\u00e8tres de long et d&#8217;une capacit\u00e9 allant jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 20 000 unit\u00e9s \u00e9quivalentes vingt pieds (EVP), l&#8217;objectif est d&#8217;optimiser l&#8217;occupation des postes \u00e0 quai et de r\u00e9duire les temps de rotation.<\/p>\n<h3>Extension des capacit\u00e9s<\/h3>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cet investissement r\u00e9cent, le nombre de grues de quai au RBT passe \u00e0 un total de six. Cette mesure intervient selon ICTSI dans le contexte d&#8217;une augmentation du volume de conteneurs au port de Rio, observ\u00e9e depuis 2023. Cette augmentation refl\u00e8te la croissance du commerce ext\u00e9rieur br\u00e9silien et souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#8217;adapter l&#8217;infrastructure du terminal en cons\u00e9quence. L&#8217;extension du RBT vise \u00e0 g\u00e9rer le volume commercial croissant et \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux exigences des navires plus grands qui accostent de plus en plus sur la c\u00f4te est de l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique du Sud.<\/p>\n<p>Le programme de modernisation comprend, en plus de l&#8217;acquisition de nouvelles grues, l&#8217;extension et la restructuration des zones de stockage ainsi que l&#8217;optimisation des op\u00e9rations internes. Ces mesures visent \u00e0 renforcer la position du port de Rio pour soutenir le commerce ext\u00e9rieur br\u00e9silien et la cha\u00eene logistique du pays.
