L&#8217;objectif de cette collaboration est d&#8217;int\u00e9grer des technologies avanc\u00e9es dans le domaine de l&#8217;intelligence artificielle et des technologies ferroviaires num\u00e9riques dans l&#8217;un des principaux points de transbordement pour les transports de grande taille aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p>Ce partenariat vise \u00e0 relever l&#8217;un des plus grands d\u00e9fis de la logistique mondiale : le transport s\u00fbr et efficace d&#8217;\u00e9quipements industriels extr\u00eamement grands et lourds \u00e0 travers le r\u00e9seau ferroviaire am\u00e9ricain. Compte tenu de la demande croissante en infrastructures \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, en centres de donn\u00e9es et en fabrication industrielle, le transport de charges surdimensionn\u00e9es, telles que de grands transformateurs, des composants pour \u00e9oliennes et des g\u00e9n\u00e9rateurs industriels, devient de plus en plus important. Une grande partie de cet \u00e9quipement est livr\u00e9e par bateau depuis l&#8217;\u00e9tranger et doit ensuite \u00eatre transport\u00e9e par rail vers l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur des terres, car les routes ne sont souvent pas adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 la taille et au poids de la cargaison.<\/p>\n<h3>Optimisation du processus de transport<\/h3>\n<p>Le port de la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans agit d\u00e9j\u00e0 comme un important point de transbordement pour les charges lourdes et les cargaisons de projet, ayant un acc\u00e8s direct \u00e0 toutes les six grandes compagnies ferroviaires am\u00e9ricaines via la New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. Cependant, la planification de tels transports de grande taille peut prendre des semaines, voire des mois, car chaque envoi doit \u00eatre soigneusement v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 pour les autorisations de pont, les restrictions de tunnel et l&#8217;infrastructure ferroviaire.<\/p>\n<p>Le partenariat avec UTC Transoceanic vise \u00e0 simplifier consid\u00e9rablement ce processus. UTC Transoceanic est une coentreprise r\u00e9cemment cr\u00e9\u00e9e entre l&#8217;entreprise Transoceanic, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans et dirig\u00e9e par Greg Rusovich, et l&#8217;entreprise logistique mondiale UTC Overseas, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Houston. Cette plateforme peut rapidement d\u00e9terminer si la cargaison peut \u00eatre transport\u00e9e par le r\u00e9seau ferroviaire et recommander les meilleures options de routage.<\/p>\n<p>Sous cette application se trouve un \u00ab jumeau num\u00e9rique \u00bb de la New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, qui repr\u00e9sente une r\u00e9plique num\u00e9rique en direct du r\u00e9seau ferroviaire et suit en temps r\u00e9el les informations sur les autorisations, les \u00e9valuations de ponts et les conditions d&#8217;infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Pour la communaut\u00e9 maritime, l&#8217;introduction de cette technologie pourrait avoir des impacts significatifs.
