Le navire <em>M\/V Afros<\/em>, qui est le premier vraquier \u00e9quip\u00e9 de voiles rotatives, a r\u00e9ussi sa deuxi\u00e8me inspection interm\u00e9diaire apr\u00e8s plus de huit ans d&#8217;exploitation continue. L&#8217;inspection, effectu\u00e9e le 13 avril par Lloyd\u2019s Register chez Jiangsu Watts Energy &amp; Engineering Co., a confirm\u00e9 que les quatre voiles rotatives du navire sont structurellement intactes et qu&#8217;aucun probl\u00e8me op\u00e9rationnel n&#8217;est survenu. Cela fournit une confirmation ind\u00e9pendante de la durabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme et de la fiabilit\u00e9 des voiles rotatives d&#8217;Anemoi.<\/p>\n<p>Les voiles rotatives ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9es en janvier 2018 \u00e0 bord du vraquier Ultramax de 64 000 DWT, exploit\u00e9 par Blue Planet Shipping. Depuis lors, les voiles rotatives ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 en pratique que les syst\u00e8mes de propulsion assist\u00e9s par le vent (WAPS) peuvent r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies de carburant et des r\u00e9ductions d&#8217;\u00e9missions sur de longues p\u00e9riodes. Ces r\u00e9sultats sont particuli\u00e8rement pertinents, car ils prouvent que les voiles rotatives peuvent \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9es sans probl\u00e8me dans les mod\u00e8les commerciaux r\u00e9guliers.<\/p>\n<h3>Preuves de performance \u00e0 long terme<\/h3>\n<p>Nick Contopoulos, cofondateur et directeur commercial d&#8217;Anemoi, a comment\u00e9 les r\u00e9sultats de l&#8217;inspection : \u00ab La r\u00e9ussite de la deuxi\u00e8me inspection interm\u00e9diaire du vraquier est un moment important, non seulement pour Anemoi, mais aussi pour l&#8217;ensemble du secteur des technologies de propulsion \u00e9olienne. La confirmation ind\u00e9pendante de Lloyd\u2019s Register apr\u00e8s plus de huit ans d&#8217;exploitation montre que nos voiles rotatives ne sont pas seulement un concept de d\u00e9carbonisation, mais repr\u00e9sentent une technologie durable, pratique et commercialement viable pour la flotte mondiale. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Au total, le navire a \u00e9conomis\u00e9 1 340 t de carburant et r\u00e9duit 4 980 t d&#8217;\u00e9missions de CO\u2082 au cours de 154 voyages, tandis que la disponibilit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle depuis l&#8217;installation a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 95 %. De plus, le navire a effectu\u00e9 environ 200 escales portuaires, ce qui souligne sa compatibilit\u00e9 avec les exigences du commerce commercial et les op\u00e9rations portuaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les voiles rotatives sur l&#8216;<em>Afros<\/em> ont un diam\u00e8tre de seulement 2 m et une hauteur de 16 m, ce qui les rend plus petites que les mod\u00e8les actuels d&#8217;Anemoi, qui mesurent 5 m de diam\u00e8tre et 35 m de hauteur. Les r\u00e9sultats correspondent \u00e0 environ 1,33 t de carburant \u00e9conomis\u00e9 par voile et par jour d&#8217;exploitation, ce qui est proche des performances des derni\u00e8res installations d&#8217;Anemoi.
