Avec seulement 16 incidents signal\u00e9s dans le monde, il s&#8217;agit du chiffre le plus bas pour le premier trimestre depuis 1991. Cette \u00e9volution est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le r\u00e9sultat d&#8217;une coop\u00e9ration durable et de mesures d&#8217;application, mais la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipages demeure une pr\u00e9occupation centrale.<\/p>\n<h3>Baisse des incidents et risques persistants<\/h3>\n<p>Entre janvier et mars 2026, 16 incidents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s, contre 45 au premier trimestre 2025 et 33 au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode en 2024. Parmi les incidents, on comptait 14 abordages de navires, une tentative d&#8217;enl\u00e8vement et une attaque r\u00e9ussie. Dans la plupart des cas, les auteurs ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 acc\u00e9der aux navires, avec 94 % des incidents ayant enregistr\u00e9 des abordages r\u00e9ussis. Malgr\u00e9 la baisse significative du nombre total d&#8217;incidents, les risques pour les \u00e9quipages n&#8217;ont pas disparu.<\/p>\n<p>John W.H. Denton AO, secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l&#8217;ICC, souligne : \u00ab La majorit\u00e9 du commerce mondial s&#8217;effectue par voie maritime. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des principales routes commerciales est donc non seulement un probl\u00e8me maritime, mais aussi un probl\u00e8me de confiance pour l&#8217;\u00e9conomie mondiale. \u00bb Michael Howlett, directeur de l&#8217;IMB, ajoute : \u00ab Il est positif de constater que les incidents signal\u00e9s de piraterie et de vol \u00e0 main arm\u00e9e en mer ont atteint les niveaux les plus bas depuis 1991. Cela d\u00e9montre les effets positifs des signalements rapides et d&#8217;une coop\u00e9ration durable, mais une vigilance continue est essentielle pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des marins et des routes maritimes. \u00bb<\/p>\n<h3>D\u00e9veloppements r\u00e9gionaux et incidents sp\u00e9cifiques<\/h3>\n<p>Le d\u00e9troit de Singapour a enregistr\u00e9 la plus forte concentration d&#8217;incidents au monde avec huit cas, ce qui repr\u00e9sente toutefois une baisse significative par rapport \u00e0 31 incidents au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode l&#8217;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. La plupart de ces incidents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 class\u00e9s comme de faible intensit\u00e9 et opportunistes, avec des armes signal\u00e9es dans six cas. Dans deux incidents distincts, un membre d&#8217;\u00e9quipage a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9 et un autre bless\u00e9. Tous les navires concern\u00e9s, y compris deux vraquiers de plus de 150 000 DWT, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 abord\u00e9s avec succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p>En revanche, aux Philippines, quatre incidents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9s, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une augmentation par rapport \u00e0 z\u00e9ro incident au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode en 2025. Deux incidents se sont produits dans la zone d&#8217;ancrage de Manille et deux dans la zone d&#8217;ancrage de Bauan dans la baie de Batangas, o\u00f9 un membre d&#8217;\u00e9quipage a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9. L&#8217;IMB appelle \u00e0 une \u00e9troite collaboration entre les autorit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionales et l&#8217;industrie maritime pour am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipages dans ces eaux.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le domaine de la piraterie somalienne, deux incidents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9s : une attaque et un enl\u00e8vement r\u00e9ussi.<\/p>\n<h3>Vigilance dans le golfe de Guin\u00e9e et importance du signalement<\/h3>\n<p>Dans le golfe de Guin\u00e9e, un vol a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9 dans la zone d&#8217;ancrage de Takoradi au Ghana, ce qui repr\u00e9sente un soulagement bienvenu. Malgr\u00e9 la baisse des incidents, l&#8217;IMB souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#8217;une vigilance continue et d&#8217;une coop\u00e9ration durable pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des marins et la protection du commerce dans ces eaux.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;IMB rappelle \u00e0 nouveau l&#8217;importance des signalements rapides au Centre de signalement de la piraterie de l&#8217;IMB (PRC). Des signalements rapides permettent des r\u00e9actions rapides, aident \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir d&#8217;autres incidents et am\u00e9liorent la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des navires op\u00e9rant \u00e0 proximit\u00e9.
