L&#8217;objectif est de r\u00e9duire les polluants atmosph\u00e9riques provenant de la navigation et de mieux prot\u00e9ger les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes sensibles.<\/p>\n<p>Les zones de contr\u00f4le des \u00e9missions (ECA) visent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions r\u00e9gionales de dioxyde de soufre, d&#8217;oxydes d&#8217;azote et de particules fines. Cela devrait am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air et diminuer les risques pour la sant\u00e9. Les r\u00e9glementations sont en vigueur imm\u00e9diatement, mais une p\u00e9riode de transition pour des limites de soufre plus strictes se poursuivra jusqu&#8217;en mars 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Accent sur d&#8217;autres sources d&#8217;\u00e9missions<\/p>\n<p>En plus des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s concernant les polluants classiques, l&#8217;organisation appelle \u00e0 des mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires pour r\u00e9duire les particules de suie. Celles-ci contribuent de mani\u00e8re significative au r\u00e9chauffement de l&#8217;Arctique et acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent la fonte des surfaces glac\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Pression croissante pour agir<\/p>\n<p>La navigation dans l&#8217;Arctique augmente, entra\u00eenant \u00e9galement une hausse des \u00e9missions. Dans ce contexte, l&#8217;alliance estime qu&#8217;il est n\u00e9cessaire d&#8217;intensifier la r\u00e9glementation au niveau international.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Organisation maritime internationale (OMI) devrait donc examiner des mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires pour limiter plus efficacement les \u00e9missions et r\u00e9duire les impacts environnementaux \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n<p><a
