Selon l&#8217;entreprise, la Commission reconna\u00eet l&#8217;importance strat\u00e9gique du secteur des ferries et vise \u00e0 soutenir l&#8217;industrie maritime dans sa d\u00e9carbonisation. Un point central est la r\u00e9investissement des revenus du syst\u00e8me d&#8217;\u00e9change de quotas d&#8217;\u00e9mission de l&#8217;UE (ETS) dans le d\u00e9veloppement de la navigation, ce qui correspond aux demandes de longue date d&#8217;Interferry.<\/p>\n<p>La Commission europ\u00e9enne estime que l&#8217;industrie maritime a besoin chaque ann\u00e9e de 2,4 milliards \u00e0 8,5 milliards d&#8217;euros pour d\u00e9carboniser sa flotte. Interferry se r\u00e9jouit que la Commission pr\u00e9voit d&#8217;utiliser une part significative des revenus annuels d&#8217;environ 10 milliards d&#8217;euros provenant de l&#8217;ETS pour l&#8217;introduction de technologies propres. Un m\u00e9canisme de l&#8217;UE pr\u00e9vu doit fournir aux armateurs des certificats ETS pour l&#8217;utilisation de carburants durables et de syst\u00e8mes de propulsion propres, ces derniers \u00e9tant soumis \u00e0 des crit\u00e8res sp\u00e9cifiques de l&#8217;UE.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c9lectrification comme cl\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Interferry souligne que la strat\u00e9gie soutient les r\u00e9centes conclusions des organisations environnementales qui mettent en avant le potentiel de l&#8217;\u00e9lectrification dans le secteur des ferries. En particulier, l&#8217;\u00e9lectrification des ports, afin de fournir de l&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 terre, est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par Interferry comme l&#8217;une des mesures les plus accessibles pour r\u00e9duire imm\u00e9diatement les \u00e9missions. En utilisant l&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 terre, les \u00e9missions dans les villes portuaires pourraient \u00eatre r\u00e9duites, tout en favorisant les investissements dans les navires
