Les deux navires seront construits au chantier naval China Merchants Jinling \u00e0 Nanjing et visent \u00e0 augmenter la capacit\u00e9 ainsi que la flexibilit\u00e9 dans le transport court-courrier en Europe. Avec cette commande, le nombre total de navires en construction passe \u00e0 quatre.<\/p>\n<h3>Progr\u00e8s technologiques et aspects environnementaux<\/h3>\n<p>Les nouveaux PCTCs seront dot\u00e9s d&#8217;une capacit\u00e9 de 3000 CEU chacun et seront \u00e9quip\u00e9s de moteurs hybrides modernes fonctionnant avec plusieurs types de carburants. Cette technologie vise \u00e0 optimiser la consommation de carburant et \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions. Selon Glenn Edvardsen, PDG de UECC, les nouveaux navires repr\u00e9sentent un progr\u00e8s significatif en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, d&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 et de performance environnementale. Les navires seront \u00e9galement dot\u00e9s d&#8217;une construction sans ballast, ce qui r\u00e9duit encore la consommation de carburant et dispose de syst\u00e8mes de surveillance des \u00e9missions en temps r\u00e9el.<\/p>\n<p>Les navires disposeront de neuf ponts et offriront une rampe arri\u00e8re d&#8217;une capacit\u00e9 de 160 t. Cela permettra le transport d&#8217;une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de v\u00e9hicules ainsi que de charges lourdes et volumineuses, qui se situent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en dehors du segment typique des PCTC. Les navires sont pr\u00e9vus pour \u00eatre livr\u00e9s d\u00e9but 2028.<\/p>\n<h3>Accent sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et les solutions num\u00e9riques<\/h3>\n<p>Une pr\u00e9occupation centrale lors du d\u00e9veloppement des nouveaux navires \u00e9tait la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Edvardsen souligne qu&#8217;un concept de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 robuste a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place, am\u00e9liorant la lutte contre les incendies et int\u00e9grant des capacit\u00e9s de surveillance et de r\u00e9action \u00e9tendues. Les navires doivent non seulement r\u00e9pondre aux r\u00e9glementations actuelles, mais aussi prendre en compte les normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 futures.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, un syst\u00e8me num\u00e9rique int\u00e9gr\u00e9 sera mis en \u0153uvre pour optimiser les op\u00e9rations et soutenir la prise de d\u00e9cision. Ces solutions num\u00e9riques visent \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la performance et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre la transparence tout au long du cycle de vie des navires.<\/p>\n<p>Avec cette nouvelle commande, UECC disposera au total de neuf PCTCs hybrides \u00e0 double carburant LNG et multi-carburants dans sa flotte, qui sont en service depuis 2016. Ces navires sont \u00e9galement con\u00e7us pour accueillir de futures innovations technologiques et des carburants alternatifs.<\/p>\n<h3>Engagement en faveur de la durabilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>UECC s&#8217;est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9duire son impact environnemental en participant \u00e0 des initiatives telles que le programme \u00ab Sail for Change \u00bb. Ce programme permet aux fabricants de v\u00e9hicules de r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies significatives sur les \u00e9missions de scope 3.
