Un nouvel accord soutenu par l&#8217;\u00c9tat, r\u00e9cemment annonc\u00e9, devrait permettre le retour du transport ferroviaire de fret r\u00e9gulier \u00e0 travers la Manche. Cette initiative est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par le gouvernement britannique comme faisant partie de sa strat\u00e9gie de promotion du transport ferroviaire de fret, comme l&#8217;indique ce dernier.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre de l&#8217;accord, Network Rail, en collaboration avec sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppement immobilier Platform4, prendra le contr\u00f4le du site de Barking Eurohub dans l&#8217;est de Londres. Le site appartient actuellement \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Legal &amp; General. Les plans pr\u00e9voient des investissements d&#8217;environ 15 millions de livres pour transformer le site en un n\u0153ud logistique international.<\/p>\n<p>La reprise du transport de fret r\u00e9gulier par le tunnel sous la Manche est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par le gouvernement comme une mesure visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la pollution, les nids-de-poule et les embouteillages. De plus, il est pr\u00e9vu que l&#8217;initiative cr\u00e9era de nouveaux emplois.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
