Cela entra\u00eene une moindre pression sur les communaut\u00e9s environnantes. Depuis le d\u00e9but de l&#8217;exercice en avril, l&#8217;a\u00e9roport, consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un hub de fret a\u00e9rien de premier plan au Royaume-Uni, a enregistr\u00e9 une baisse de plus de 1 300 mouvements de vols de fret, tout en constatant une augmentation du volume de fret de 44 280 t.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des dix derniers mois, l&#8217;a\u00e9roport d&#8217;East Midlands a enregistr\u00e9 un total de 18 400 mouvements de vols de fret, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une baisse de 7 % ou en moyenne 133 de moins par mois par rapport aux ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes. Dans le m\u00eame temps, 345 800 t de fret ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9es, ce qui correspond \u00e0 une augmentation de 15 % par rapport \u00e0 l&#8217;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Cette \u00e9volution est li\u00e9e \u00e0 une augmentation des vols intercontinentaux vers l&#8217;Asie et les \u00c9tats-Unis, ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 une diminution des vols plus courts vers l&#8217;Europe. Cela permet l&#8217;utilisation d&#8217;avions plus grands, capables de transporter plus de fret par vol.<\/p>\n<p>Le plus grand op\u00e9rateur de l&#8217;a\u00e9roport d&#8217;East Midlands, DHL, investit dans sa flotte et utilise de plus en plus de nouveaux Boeing 777. L&#8217;op\u00e9rateur plus petit One Air a \u00e9galement r\u00e9cemment int\u00e9gr\u00e9 deux nouveaux 777 dans sa flotte. De plus, certaines des nouvelles compagnies a\u00e9riennes qui ont commenc\u00e9 leurs op\u00e9rations \u00e0 l&#8217;a\u00e9roport d&#8217;East Midlands l&#8217;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, dont Etihad et Central, utilisent \u00e9galement des avions 777.
