Ce vaisseau est le huiti\u00e8me Pure Car &amp; Truck Carrier (PCTC) capable d&#8217;utiliser de l&#8217;ammoniac de la compagnie maritime italienne et sera prochainement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 sur la route entre l&#8217;Asie et l&#8217;Europe. Le &#8222;Grande Michigan&#8220; a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit par China Merchants Heavy Industries Jiangsu et est con\u00e7u pour une future conversion \u00e0 l&#8217;ammoniac comme carburant alternatif, selon la compagnie maritime.<\/p>\n<h3>D\u00e9tails techniques et capacit\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Le &#8222;Grande Michigan&#8220; mesure 220 m\u00e8tres de long et 38 m\u00e8tres de large, avec un tonnage brut de 93 145 t. Il peut transporter une capacit\u00e9 de charge maximale de 9 000 Car Equivalent Units (CEU) et atteint une vitesse de croisi\u00e8re de 18 n\u0153uds. Sur ses 14 ponts, il offre de la place pour des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques ainsi que pour des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 combustibles fossiles.<\/p>\n<p>Le nom du navire rend hommage, selon l&#8217;entreprise, \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00c9tat du Michigan, qui est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un centre historique de l&#8217;industrie automobile am\u00e9ricaine. De nombreux grands fabricants automobiles am\u00e9ricains, qui collaborent avec la Grimaldi Group depuis des ann\u00e9es, ont leur si\u00e8ge ou des sites de production dans cet \u00c9tat.<\/p>\n<h3>Technologies ax\u00e9es sur la durabilit\u00e9 environnementale<\/h3>\n<p>Le &#8222;Grande Michigan&#8220; a obtenu la notation Ammonia Ready du registre maritime italien (RINA), ce qui confirme qu&#8217;il peut \u00eatre converti pour utiliser de l&#8217;ammoniac comme carburant de remplacement.
